Market Your Art for the Future

Updated: Sep 15

Market Your Art to drive traffic to your website

Marketing is constantly changing and using advertising opportunities will help make it easy for browsers to become buyers. Marketing is needed to find new collectors and get your work known. Even if someone doesn’t buy your art during an art fair, they may do so in the future. These are my tips to strategize long term business growth and brand yourself.

- Cards: This is a traditional low-cost marketing strategy that is a good way to stay at the forefront of your future buyer’s mind. Your cards should be visually appealing and showcase your best art! Art lovers like to collect cards and save them for future gift-giving ideas. My go to for printing is Vistaprint. Vistaprint stands behind their product and offers discounts on affordable printing options across the board.

-Social Media:

Using social media platforms should be the cornerstone of your market strategy. SMM allows small businesses and individuals to capitalize on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, twitter, and LinkedIn to compete for a low cost to millions of people worldwide.

-Claim your business page

Claim and manage your Business Page on Google and

for free to stand out even more. Get more customers to choose you by building a strong presence on these platforms. These platforms provide a way to get reviews , post updates, add photos, and provide analytics to help you grow your brand.

-QR codes:

Include a QR code on your cards, promo materials and art fair booth. Make sure the code connects visitors to an appealing page on your website or social media. QR codes allow artists to showcase pages for the next festival, fair, gallery exhibit, or new product.

-Blog: Blogs are a great way to keep a website updated with fresh content! Give your readers and future collectors updates. Blog posts can be the foundation of social media content, they can offer advice to other art professionals or showcase your business, services or product. Your blog posts should link to your Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. doing this gives readers a reason to click through to the business website. Blogs are great for Increasing your search engine optimization.
